How to Make S'mores Pops

We made these cute s’mores pops for a baby shower celebrating our first niece. The pops went over so well that we just had to share with you.

Making S’mores Pops

To make s’mores pops, you will need:

  • Marshmallows
  • Chocolate
  • Graham crackers
  • Lollipop sticks — here are some online
  • 2 to 3 plastic mugs
How to Make S'mores Pops

That will make your basic s’more pop, but you could have some fun and do so much more. Think about adding a drizzle of white or dark chocolate, some crushed peppermint candies instead of the crushed graham crackers or dip into sprinkles.

Help them dry.

To help drying without getting chocolate all over your kitchen, try this: poke holes into the bottom of plastic cups. Invert the cups and then slide the wet pops into each hole. And that’s it, easy fun s’mores pops perfect for baby showers and birthday parties.

The recipe below show you how to make a basic s’more pop, but you could have some fun and do so much more. Think about adding a drizzle of white or dark chocolate, some crushed peppermint candies instead of the crushed graham crackers or dip into sprinkles.

Makes 20 pops

You Will Need

1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

20 marshmallows

6 graham crackers, crushed

20 lollipop sticks

5 to 6 plastic cups to help with drying

Directions

1Punch small holes that are large enough for the lollipop sticks to slide through into the bottom of each plastic cup. Turn upside down.

2Push 1 marshmallow onto each lollipop stick. Add crushed graham crackers to a plate.

3Add chocolate chips to a microwave-safe bowl and heat in the microwave for 20 seconds. After 20 seconds remove the bowl and stir the chocolate chips. Place the bowl back into the microwave for another 20 seconds and stir again. Repeat process until melted.

4Working quickly, dip each marshmallow into the chocolate and roll in crushed graham crackers. Slide the s’mores pops into the upside down plastic cups and wait until the chocolate hardens, about 10 minutes.

I didn’t have any plastic cups. Flipped over my mom’s old aluminum strainer/colander and the holes were the perfect size to hold the treats while they were drying!

Hi there, You can make these quite a few days in advance. Just keep them in an airtight container at room temperature.

I’m making these for a weekend camping trip coming up in 2 days. Is it too soon to make them today?

We did this for a children’s party as a make-your-own smores bar. The kids put in the lollipop sticks and coated the marshmallows with help of an inexpensive chocolate fountain then sprinkled on the graham cracker crumbs. There was no time for allowing the chocolate to set…the kids were like Adam and couldn’t resist eating it right away!

Could you do these the night before and store them in an airtight container until you are ready for them??

Yep. That shouldn’t be a problem.

I just made these and used a vintage flower frog instead of punching holes in a cup, to hold the pops as they dry.

All I can think about when looking at those pops are “how can I get away with making them and not sharing”. I’m thinking these would work great on Valentines Day.
