About Us

Hello! We are so glad you’re here. Inspired Taste is a food blog, created by us, Joanne and Adam Gallagher. Here you’ll find recipes that are easy-to-make, worth your time and that you’ll want to make over and over again.

Adam and Joanne Gallagher of Inspired Taste

Simply put, Inspired Taste is a collection of recipes we’ve created in our own kitchen. Together.

We’re looking for food that we love. After eating it, do we want more? Was it easy and more importantly fun to make? Did it make us smile, reach in for more and were we still talking about it hours after finishing? If it’s a YES, then we’ll share it with you.

We’re on YouTube!

About Us

We’re completely in love with food. Inspired Taste is our creative outlet and we love that it allows us to connect with you. (Your comments make us smile). We’ve always found a connection to each other through food and cooking and some of the best connections (and memories) with others have been through food.

We cook all the time. Together. Our days revolve around food, at home and when we travel.

How Do You Work Together?

We keep things simple. Talk aloud and give feedback. Adam takes most of the photos, Joanne takes lead on recipe creation. We both test, taste, fuss and critique.

There’s a laptop connected to a big monitor in our kitchen and coffee helps. A lot.

We hardly argue, but when we do, we stop everything and work through it. Chocolate helps, too.

Lovey Dovey Stuff

We met in high school. We were engaged in 2008 and were married overlooking the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in front of 50 people.

We danced to What a Wonderful World. Our honeymoon was 10 days in Costa Rica and staying true to our love of cooking, we cooked on our honeymoon. (We rented a house instead of staying in a hotel. It was perfect). During our honeymoon, we went deep-sea fishing. Joanne caught the biggest fish of the day and Adam caught the smallest. Naturally.

Marmalade

We’re a family of two and a half. Marmalade (our cat) is the half. That’s Marmalade. (Just as every pet owner believes, we are sure she’s the cutest, funniest and most adorable cat in.the.world).

We live in Walla Walla, Washington and love the Pacific Northwest!

Hey Adam and Joanne, I stumbled upon your website looking for tahini. I read about you guys, so just want to applaud your passion and work. I’m an IT infrastructure analyst and I usually prefer Indian or Mexican food. I really appreciate your passion and a little craziness that you mix in your recipes. I love your website. I read about you guys and I think your passion is TRULY INSPIRING! Say hello to Marmalade and keep doing good work. Cheers and God bless you all. 🙂 P.S. I’ll surely return for desserts (my weakness);)

I made your hummus recipe. Best I’ve ever made! I tweaked it a bit by adding twice the amount of chick peas, 1/2 the amount of tahini and using chick pea liquid instead of water. Truly better than store bought.

Just stumbled across your site while looking for a banana bread recipe. I work at a hotel and we have a surplus of over ripe bananas left over from out breakfast pantry. Going to put them to use. Your recipes look like fun. Will enjoy finding some new things to try. P.S. Marmalade is a cutie!

Made the turkey meatloaf and thoroughly enjoyed it by all. Reviewing other recipes to try, all look interesting especially the lighter ones. Thanks

I’ve never made carrot cake before, and finding your recipe thought I’d give it a go, as it looked straight forward and easy. I am so pleased with the moist, rich cake that is the result. Thank you for a brilliant recipe that makes me look good in the kitchen. 🙂

What a genius name for an orange cat. I am about to make your carrot cake recipe for my hubby’s bday tomorrow. The recipe sounds promising and I thank you for the tips at the end. Wish me luck!
