Joanne and I really want to spread the word about a wonderful organization called Share Our Strength. Their main missions is to stamp out childhood hunger by 2015 through donations and local involvement.  You may have noticed their campaign link on our homepage, SHARE YOUR SEASON, that they are running during the holidays.

Local to our hometown in Alexandria, Virginia Share Our Strength is hosting a fun food event in Washington, DC on Monday, April 12th 2010 at the National Building Museum, they are showcasing more than 60 of the city’s top restaurants, wine bars and mixologists for an evening of dining and fun. All the proceeds from the ticket sales goes towards the cause. Last year they raised more than $124,000.
