Easy Ginger Poached Pears with Pumpkin Whipped Cream

Easy Ginger Poached Pears with Pumpkin Whipped Cream

We love a big bowl of sweet decadent dessert just as much as anyone else, but sometimes, just sometimes, we’re in the mood for something a little lighter. These tender poached pears with pumpkin whipped cream are perfect. The pears are slowly poached in a ginger syrup then we serve them with soft pumpkin whipped cream and crunchy ginger snaps. Not too heavy, packed with flavor and so pretty!

How to Easily Make Ginger Poached Pears

Did you know that you can make poached pears in advance? You can — once they are poached, cool them to room temperature then cover completely with the poaching liquid and refrigerate up to 3 days. As long as they are completely covered, you’ll be fine!

Had this for Thanksgiving Dinner dessert and it was PERFECT. So easy, very light, with slightly spicy nuances. Very good and will have this again.

I love poached pears and make them a few times a year but I’ve never ever made pumpking whipped cream. Perfect dessert for this time of year.
