When we read that one of our Facebook fans found us via a magazine, we were intrigued …. when we read that a second Facebook fan found us the same way, we just had to find out what was going on. We asked and both of the lovely ladies told us that they saw us in the July issue of Cosmopolitan in Australia!
Now, we of course trust our readers very much, but this was not news we were ready to hear … Cosmopolitan … nooo … like the one we have in America? … no, it can’t be …
After much research and more help from our readers we have found out that it’s TRUE! Now, you would think that the moment we found this out, we would have proclaimed it from the roof tops, but we couldn’t … we just didn’t and still don’t know how to take such news. For the past few days, we have discussed it and contemplated … heck, every shower I have taken lately has included me thinking about it … I think I washed my hair twice yesterday because I was thinking about it so much. We realize that our little blog, started almost 1 year ago, has grown quickly – something that we are very proud of … our blog has helped us guide our career paths, made us more confident in what we want to do with our lives and has made us happier than we have ever been together and as individuals. That, in itself, is enough for us. But, to see that others are watching us grow and in many circumstances believe in the future of Inspired Taste .. it’s unbelievable.
In August of last year, we were sitting at our lunch break trying to figure out an appropriate tag line for our brand new blog … after much thought, we came up with “two people in love with food, cooking and each other” … well, that is still very true, if not even more true today than when we came up with it. The support of our family, friends and readers have helped us grow and enjoy our blog so much.
So, we of course want to say a HUGE thank you to Cosmopolitan Australia for seeing something in us and sharing it with their own readers. We are very much humbled and excited! But, we also wish to thank our family, friends and our readers, whom have pushed us to continue to better ourselves and this very blog, something that allows us today to say: We have been mentioned in the July 2010 issue of Cosmopolitan Australia (page 34); on news stands now 🙂  Inspired Taste “8 New Blogs Worth Bookmarking.”
Here are some of the people in our lives who have been incredibly supportive from the moment we started Inspired Taste:
Heather, (Also our sister-in-law) from Quite Like It Blog helped us form our ideas of style, look and feel … she also has been our biggest fan, especially when we post something sweet!
Wendi, from Bon Appetit Hon has also been there from the beginning – we may not have ever met her (hopefully to change at IFBC), but we feel like we have … she has been so kind and supportive and while she may have started as a reader, we are confident that today, she is our friend.
Kristy, from The Wicked Noodle first contacted us many months ago to tell us about Refrigerator Soup, but we have stayed in touch ever since. She is one of those bloggers who makes it a mission to get the word out about lesser known bloggers, she is truly what this is all about.
And finally, we must mention our parents and close friends (Erin, Ryan, Bryce Erica …), all of whom have been there, subscribed and ready to tell us what they thought of our latest posts like Button Butter Cookies and our Lemon Angel Food Cake!
So to sum up … THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
I found you guys in that cosmo article, your blog has since been added to my favourites and I have already made tonnes of your recipes! Thanks so much for all the awesome ideas 🙂
Thanks so much for the mention, guys!! You already know how dear you both are to me (isn’t it strange that you can feel so sentimental about people you’ve never met?), so I won’t bore you with my gushing 😉 But I am THRILLED for you that you made it into such a prestigious magazine!! Blogging has brought so many wonderful things to my life and I’m glad to see it’s done the same for you. I hope to meet you both in “real” life one day!!
Kristy
Huzzah! Congrats you two! That is soooo cool and well deserved!
Adam and Joanne, CONGRATULATIONS on the feature in Cosmo. It’s an honor that is completely, absolutely, 1000% deserved.
I can’t wait to meet Adam in Seattle next month, and am sad that you won’t be there too Joanne. Your acknowledgment here is humbling and flattering and absolutely made my day.
Wendi, I too, wish we could meet as well at IFBC! I am sad not to be able to attend, but know that one day, we will meet!
Thank you again and we are so glad we made your day … you have certainly made many of ours 🙂
