2 to 12 large eggs
1 cup water
Place a steaming rack or metal trivet in the bottom of the pressure cooker (ours came with our 6-quart Instant Pot).
Pour the water into the pressure cooker. Then carefully set the eggs onto the rack so that they do not touch the water below.
Seal the pressure cooker and cook at high pressure for your desired cook time — 3 minutes for soft-boiled eggs, 5 to 6 minutes for medium-boiled eggs, 7 to 9 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.
While the eggs cook, prepare a bowl filled with water and ice.
When the timer goes off, manually release the pressure, being careful to avoid the steam releasing from the cooker. When all of the pressure has released, open the lid and transfer the eggs to the ice bath. After a few minutes of sitting in the ice bath, peel the eggs.
