It could be said, that Adam and I can be random at times … for example, when we first moved into our lovely little condo with a fireplace, we immediately went out for wood, matches, graham crackers and marshmallows to make s’mores, it was the middle of the summer and probably upwards of 95° F outside …. or the multiple times that we spend hours into the night de-boning chickens and then make stock ( I know, the chicken one was weird, but I just learned how in class and needed my practice) … or the time when we embarrassed ourselves and those who love us when we made our first video:

… or there was last night when I turned to Adam and asked if he would be interested in buying a food truck, he looked at me, looked at the web page of used food trucks that I had found and said “hmm, that sounds fun!” So, it got me thinking… if we had our own food truck, what the heck would we sell???
We could do burgers … like this delish Queso Blanco Burger topped with fresh pico de gallo and avocado
Or, this Agave Salmon Burger with Chipotle Mayo, that might bring the crowds?
Or, we could sweeten it up a bit with some S’mores Pops?
We could even do soup??? Like Adam’s Pho, a Vietnamese Noodle Soup…
What do you think? Are we crazy??? Do you think we should start perfecting some food truck worthy recipes or should we all just forget this ever happened …
I say go for it! There are some incredibly delicious food trucks in Hawai’i – that would be a great place to do some “research” 🙂 I hope your food truck would make its way out to Reston at least once a week (hint hint!)!! Best of luck to you! 🙂
Thanks Sara! We promise to make a stop in Reston!!
i think it’s a great idea…i would just make sure that you do on the business-y research. but if you market it right and make sure you’ve got the dollars and sense figured out it seems like you have the commitment and creativity to make it happen.

those are just my thoughts on it. 🙂
Thanks JT, your right, we definitely need to do our research! It is definitely a business that we know little about, but that doesn’t mean we won’t try and learn 🙂
Food trucks are totally the rage. Now is really the time if that’s your inclination.
And I envy the folks who’ll be lunching at The Inspired Taste truck!
Aww Joan, that is so nice of you!! Food trucks are definitely the rage right now and we think will be for a long time!
Totally not crazy. I have romantic dreams of running away and starting a fledgling foodie company out of a truck. I say go for it. But then again, I also have romantic dreams of raising goats, making goat cheese and baking artisan bread for a living, so…
I think it’s a great idea! You’d just have to figure out generally what type of food you want to offer. But food trucks can be very lucrative and there are some amazing ones out there. I think Alexandria probably needs one!
Wendi – we will be there!
Erin – I think Alexandria would just love a new addition of a food truck!!
Not a crazy idea at all. Would it be possible to have it permanently parked outside my house?
