We are a company!

There has been quite a few changes around here in our little condo. The past two months for Jo and I has been full of excitement and happiness, as well as a lot of apprehension. If you don’t already know, Jo and I work together at a day job,  which is not exactly our passion. The past two months has been the beginning of a huge push to change that. We want our day job to be our blog and center around our love of food, cooking, recipes and photography!

Now, if you had asked us if this was even a possibility two years ago we would have thought you were just plain crazy. Blog full time?! No Way! Then, over time we started to hear about other bloggers who are doing it full time and loving it…Young House Love, White on Rice Couple, Pioneer Woman, Steamy Kitchen, Simply Recipes just to name a few.

We started attending blogger conferences to see how this was possible. The conference that changed our life was Food Blog Forum Orlando. This is where we actually got the chance to meet Jaden Hair, of Steamy Kitchen in person. Her enthusiasm, love and passion for food blogging was infectious. At the conference she talked about how she started food blogging full time, needless to say, we became two human sponges. Since FBF we have had the great opportunity of working with Jaden on her blog and are loving every minute of it. The best part was when we were invited over to her house two months ago. The visit changed our whole perspective. During our visit Jaden, Scott, Joanne and I sat down and hammered out some goals to make our dream of full time blogging turn into reality.

One of those steps was to make Inspired Taste a company. Well, thanks to Legalzoom, Inspired Taste is now a company. Over the past few months, we have learned, asked, joined communities, worked for fabulous companies and found a way to make money doing what we love. It’s not easy and we’re not there yet, but we’re close.
