A little more about us …

Adam and I crossed paths back in high school! Though not technically high school sweethearts, our relationship has spanned a significant portion of our lives. In 2009, we officially tied the knot in front of our loved ones. Fast forward to 2020, our family grew with the arrival of our son, Leo, who adds immeasurable joy and a bit of chaos to our lives.

Beyond the shared love for our family, we cherish the opportunity to travel, soak up the outdoors, and enjoy the company of our furry companion, Ellie.

Our journey has taken us across various states, including Maryland, Virginia, Hawaii, and Washington State. Our home, with the kitchen in our videos, is in Walla Walla, WA, a charming town renowned for its sweet onions (Walla Walla onions are so good!) and its impressive wine scene. If you want to explore this hidden gem, read our article about visiting Walla Walla.

Ellie, Adam and Joanne's lovable cat!

A little bit about Joanne

  • Favorite food: I have to say this is a tie between pasta, avocado, and croissants?
  • Favorite recipe on Inspired Taste: I love so many of them, but my favorite is definitely our Easy Vegetable Lasagna.
  • Favorite place to visit: I love to travel, but the place that stands out the most to me is Mount Rainier. It’s breathtaking and our trip pushed me to hike a trail that I wasn’t 100% sure I could do. I’ve never really been super athletic? Here’s an article we wrote about our trip!
  • Favorite show or movie: For a show, I love a bunch of them, but I could watch How I Met Your Mother a million times and not get bored. As far as the movie goes, our copy of Julie and Julia has definitely seen some use!

A little bit about Adam

  • Favorite food: Anything seafood!
  • Favorite recipe on Inspired Taste: This changes all the time, but I really love our Garlic Basil Seared Scallops!
  • Favorite place to visit: I’m with Joanne on Mount Rainier, but I also love visiting Hawaii. We’ve been to Maui, the Big Island, and Oahu so far.
  • Favorite show or movie: I’ve always been a big fan of Top Gear (the UK version) and now watch Grand Tour. Choosing a favorite movie is tough, but I do love The Right Stuff!

Since 2009, we’ve learned so much and can’t wait to learn more. We hope you’ll stick around and learn with us.

Happy Cooking! Adam and Joanne

Hi Pam, so glad that you found us! We try to use from scratch ingredients as much as possible and we try to make it as easy as possible for readers to decide to use nonGMO ingredients if they have access to them 🙂

I recently subsribed to your web site. The recipes look amazing.
I am retired and have been looking at new activities for my free time.
Never having baked a fruit pie I thought I would start with apple pie. Why can’t I print a simple recipe? Twenty seven pages are a bit much. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Barbara, Welcome to our website! I’m so happy to hear you’re excited about our recipes and exploring baking. It sounds like you might have missed our printer-friendly option for the apple pie recipe. Look for the ‘Print’ button or near the top of the recipe (at the end of the article). This will take you to a 1-2 page printer-friendly page. If you’re still having trouble, please let me know, and I’ll be happy to help!

Discovered your site yesterday while searching for oven-baked ribs. My hubby couldn’t say enough great things about them. So easy to make. Also our kitty Lucy looks just like yours. I guess this is destiny! Looking forward to salivating through more recipes.

That makes me so happy to hear! I’m thrilled your hubby enjoyed the ribs, and finding a fellow kitty-lover always feels like a win. Ellie sends a meow of approval to your Lucy! I can’t wait to see what other recipes catch your eye!

I think your recipes are great (The go-to for me is your blueberry muffins, but I haven’t gotten a chance to try that many recipes to be candid! Though, a search for an easy tomato soup recipe led me back to you…) and you too are adorable! ; ) I love the videos and clear instructions – you make it look super easy, which is what a good teacher/guide always does! Exciting to hear you grew your family with the arrival of a baby boy. Wishing you all so many blessings and happy memories in the kitchen and beyond! xo

I just discovered Inspired Taste while looking for a tomato soup recipe. (Having made Marcella Hazan’s tomato sauce, I can tell that your soup will also be really good – and it’s so easy.) Then one recipe after another in your blog caught my interest and I could hardly stop reading. Your whole approach to food appeals to me, and the additional supporting information and explanations that you provide are helpful, interesting, and thorough – and I appreciate that everything is very clear and well written. So, it looks like I’m an instant fan who will certainly be trying many of your recipes – and I’ll be starting today with that wonderful tomato soup of yours.

I’m a new subscriber and found your site while searching for a good turkey meatloaf recipe. Found it here and since I’m a big fan of mushrooms chose to make it for Thanksgiving dinner. A huge hit for both husband and me. I am sold by the simplicity of the recipes and the flavors using simple ingredients. Thanks for your website.
