About Us

Hello! We are so glad you’re here. Inspired Taste is a food blog, created by us, Joanne and Adam Gallagher. Here you’ll find recipes that are easy-to-make, worth your time and that you’ll want to make over and over again.

Adam and Joanne Gallagher of Inspired Taste

Simply put, Inspired Taste is a collection of recipes we’ve created in our own kitchen. Together.

We’re looking for food that we love. After eating it, do we want more? Was it easy and more importantly fun to make? Did it make us smile, reach in for more and were we still talking about it hours after finishing? If it’s a YES, then we’ll share it with you.

We’re on YouTube!

About Us

We’re completely in love with food. Inspired Taste is our creative outlet and we love that it allows us to connect with you. (Your comments make us smile). We’ve always found a connection to each other through food and cooking and some of the best connections (and memories) with others have been through food.

We cook all the time. Together. Our days revolve around food, at home and when we travel.

How Do You Work Together?

We keep things simple. Talk aloud and give feedback. Adam takes most of the photos, Joanne takes lead on recipe creation. We both test, taste, fuss and critique.

There’s a laptop connected to a big monitor in our kitchen and coffee helps. A lot.

We hardly argue, but when we do, we stop everything and work through it. Chocolate helps, too.

Lovey Dovey Stuff

We met in high school. We were engaged in 2008 and were married overlooking the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in front of 50 people.

We danced to What a Wonderful World. Our honeymoon was 10 days in Costa Rica and staying true to our love of cooking, we cooked on our honeymoon. (We rented a house instead of staying in a hotel. It was perfect). During our honeymoon, we went deep-sea fishing. Joanne caught the biggest fish of the day and Adam caught the smallest. Naturally.

We’re a family of two and a half. Marmalade (our cat) is the half. That’s Marmalade. (Just as every pet owner believes, we are sure she’s the cutest, funniest and most adorable cat in.the.world).

We live in Walla Walla, Washington and love the Pacific Northwest!

I hve a stove just like your white Fridadaire. Never could figure out what heat dial setting to use. How wonderful, i now use all your recipes. They come out perfect because I can see the exact temperture you use. I have not had one failure yet.
    Thank you and keep cooking.

Already left praise for your tzatziki recipe but this is definitely the place to leave another comment. Ever since I moved from Europe to the United States, I had to tweak my own recipes to work around the ingredients I could not find here or did not know where to get them. I started with baking my own breads (I just could not get used to the soft bread and like a chewy texture and crunchy crust). Fortunately, things have changed over the past years and more and more ‘artisan’ bakeries pop up across the country; the availability of foreign ingredients/spices has improved. And so has food perception: Away from all the heavy and greasy frying and cooking and fast food to healthier, fresh ingredients and preparation. Tasty and nutritious food does not necessarily require hours in the kitchen and you show that it can be easy and fun to prepare. I so very much appreciate all the tasty recipes I have found on your site! Some of them are just a tweak of the recipes I know from the old world but there is a great variety of new recipes I will certainly try. Your love of and respect for food shines through each recipe. Thank you very much. With warm greetings from the Southeast 🙂

Hi! Made your pork tenderloin with apples and onions some time ago (maybe a year) and have been thinking about it ever since. Since its a rainy autumn day here in Pennsylvania, we thought this was the perfect day to create this great dish again. Apples are so abundant right now and to me, this dish speaks “autumn”. My son and husband love this!

Absolutely LOVED the Roasted Salsa Verde Recipe. Can’t wait to try it again for my friends! I give it 5 stars. Be mindful of removing the seeds from the peppers though. I thought I took most of them out, but still turned out pretty spicy (which I like). If you’re making the chicken enchilada recipe to go with it though, the cheese and sour cream will tame it down. I’m subscribing to your newsletter and look forward to more great recipes!

Have found my bread! I used too much red pepper flakes, know not to use so many next time. Thank you.
