Hello! We are so glad you’re here. Inspired Taste is a food blog, created by us, Joanne and Adam Gallagher. Here you’ll find recipes that are easy-to-make, worth your time and that you’ll want to make over and over again.

Adam and Joanne Gallagher of Inspired Taste

Simply put, Inspired Taste is a collection of recipes we’ve created in our own kitchen. Together.

We’re looking for food that we love. After eating it, do we want more? Was it easy and more importantly fun to make? Did it make us smile, reach in for more and were we still talking about it hours after finishing? If it’s a YES, then we’ll share it with you.

About Us

We’re completely in love with food. Inspired Taste is our creative outlet and we love that it allows us to connect with you. (Your comments make us smile). We’ve always found a connection to each other through food and cooking and some of the best connections (and memories) with others have been through food.

We cook all the time. Together. Our days revolve around food, at home and when we travel.

How Do You Work Together?

We keep things simple. Talk aloud and give feedback. Adam takes most of the photos, Joanne takes lead on recipe creation. We both test, taste, fuss and critique.

There’s a laptop connected to a big monitor in our kitchen and coffee helps. A lot.

We hardly argue, but when we do, we stop everything and work through it. Chocolate helps, too.

Lovey Dovey Stuff

We met in high school. We were engaged in 2008 and were married overlooking the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in front of 50 people.

We danced to What a Wonderful World. Our honeymoon was 10 days in Costa Rica and staying true to our love of cooking, we cooked on our honeymoon. (We rented a house instead of staying in a hotel. It was perfect). During our honeymoon, we went deep-sea fishing. Joanne caught the biggest fish of the day and Adam caught the smallest. Naturally.


We’re a family of two and a half. Marmalade (our cat) is the half. That’s Marmalade. (Just as every pet owner believes, we are sure she’s the cutest, funniest and most adorable cat in.the.world).

We live in Walla Walla, Washington and love the Pacific Northwest!

    Inspiring cooking site with lots of helpful info and recipes!! Thank You! Stumbled on this site looking on the internet for information about how to use the bags of chilis that I purchased at a Latino market. Very helpful information about the chilis and love the homemade chili powder and taco seasoning recipes!!

    I made your carrot cake for my very dear friend. It is her favorite cake so it was a little risky, plus our mutual friend is a baker…well, she loved it! She said it was the best carrot cake she has ever had and that I must make it for her birthday! Thank you so much! Tomorrow I will be trying out the pumpkin bread with the chocolate chunks and orange zest. I will let you know how it goes!

    Great little web site full of ideas and tips on how to make your own hummus, tahini etc., etc., instead of spending your hard earned dollars at the supermarket. Great find and now added to my favorites. Good job guys.

    I love your recipes and you are all,(including cat-child Marmalade ),so adorable! My son and daughter in law are raising my grand daughter to be vegan, which makes baking the treats that we used to love, a bit of a challenge. Have the two of you ever considered creating some vegan dessert type items ? such as scones, cookies, etc. (I am not a fan of coconut based products for baking or cooking.)

    Hi Joanne and Adam – I made your 30-minute Pork Tenderloin with the cider sauce the other evening. I had it with mashed potatoes and corn and we just love it. This recipe is good enough for a holiday meal. I’ve been cooking for 43 years and there is always room for change and/or improvement. I will be visiting your site again soon. You are a cute couple.     Hey there, I never comment on blogs but this time I have to let you know how much I enjoyed your great post about Walla Walla. I am an Australian living in Canada and visited Walla Walla in the mid 80s and have wanted to return since then. Your description reminded me how lovely the town is and just made me want to visit that much more. We visited the Leonettii winery on a good day and even had a barrel tasting. The wine was spectacular. The world must have agreed because there is no way I can afford a bottle these days. Maybe we can get in a quick visit before the snow hits us here north of the 49th.

    Hi! I came across your recipe for Easy Three Ingredient Tomato Soup while researching how to extend my one can of Tomato Bisque to feed three adults. Oh my gosh!
