About Us

Hello! We are so glad you’re here. Inspired Taste is a food blog, created by us, Joanne and Adam Gallagher. Here you’ll find recipes that are easy-to-make, worth your time and that you’ll want to make over and over again.

Adam and Joanne Gallagher of Inspired Taste

Simply put, Inspired Taste is a collection of recipes we’ve created in our own kitchen. Together.

We’re looking for food that we love. After eating it, do we want more? Was it easy and more importantly fun to make? Did it make us smile, reach in for more and were we still talking about it hours after finishing? If it’s a YES, then we’ll share it with you.

We’re on YouTube!

About Us

We’re completely in love with food. Inspired Taste is our creative outlet and we love that it allows us to connect with you. (Your comments make us smile). We’ve always found a connection to each other through food and cooking and some of the best connections (and memories) with others have been through food.

We cook all the time. Together. Our days revolve around food, at home and when we travel.

How Do You Work Together?

We keep things simple. Talk aloud and give feedback. Adam takes most of the photos, Joanne takes lead on recipe creation. We both test, taste, fuss and critique.

There’s a laptop connected to a big monitor in our kitchen and coffee helps. A lot.

We hardly argue, but when we do, we stop everything and work through it. Chocolate helps, too.

Lovey Dovey Stuff

We met in high school. We were engaged in 2008 and were married overlooking the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in front of 50 people.

We danced to What a Wonderful World. Our honeymoon was 10 days in Costa Rica and staying true to our love of cooking, we cooked on our honeymoon. (We rented a house instead of staying in a hotel. It was perfect). During our honeymoon, we went deep-sea fishing. Joanne caught the biggest fish of the day and Adam caught the smallest. Naturally.

We’re a family of two and a half. Marmalade (our cat) is the half. That’s Marmalade. (Just as every pet owner believes, we are sure she’s the cutest, funniest and most adorable cat in.the.world).

We live in Walla Walla, Washington and love the Pacific Northwest!

I would like to know what the difference is to using ricotta or cottage cheese in your lasagna. Does the cottage cheese taste as good??

5 stars. I just found this site, made the hummus using the recipe, it was fantastic. I love the no nonsense easy to follow step by step videos, which I viewed on my ipad. I propped it up on my kitchen work top and use it like a cookery book, with moving pictures. i can stop it where I want and go back when I miss a bit.I have now bookmarked this site for future use. just bought the ingredients for the lasagna, can’t wait. thanks Adam and Joanne you should have a UK TV series!

Hi Guys! I found your blog while looking to refresh my memory on tahini, and I love it! I went to high school just outside DC and lived near the White House as a young man, so I can relate to your not using a car and having a small condo. I am envious. Your blog is now in my very selective “favorites” section. Thanks!

    Hi Joanne and Adam!
So happy to find your lovely website! I love your mixer and your photos are stunning! I had a bunch of bananas that were still sitting on the counter – waiting to be eaten. I reminded myself every time I walked by them that I needed to make Banana Bread. So, I pulled out my recipes and thought I’d give it another try. I sorted through several recipes and remembered each one always fell short. For some reason, the outside always seems overdone and the inside is still gooey. Sometimes, it looks unappetizing like the bananas baked-up gray. Or I couldn’t remove it from the pan. The list goes on and on.
I google-lized Banana Bread and found your recipe. Guess what? I made the most delicious batch ever! Thanks so much! I love that you’ve made following recipes so easy.
My husband just walked in to tell me the timer shows we only have about 30 minutes before we can enjoy the Easy Fall-Off-The-Bone Oven Baked Ribs! I need to go make the sauce. We can’t wait to eat them! Now we can enjoy BBQ even without a grill!

Hi Karen, thank you so much for taking the time comment 🙂 We are so happy you found us and that you made one of our absolute favorite recipes on the site!! We love that banana bread recipe. Hope you loved the ribs, too!

Just wanted to say, I make an Italian dinner that everyone loves and had wanted to make my own Tiramisu (it’s my favorite dessert) and looked at so many different recipes. Then I found yours and tried it with one of my dinner parties. Everyone loved it. (fast forward a few months later) So I wanted to make it again and… OF COURSE I forgot to save it (or my husband accidentally tossed it out) after searching and reading what felt like a thousand recipes I finally realized this is the one, when I watched the YouTube video. I now have your page bookmarked 🙂 and have a growing list of things I want to try. Thank you for sharing these beautiful recipes and for making them so easy to follow for novice cookers, like myself!!

I am Andrea Williams’ mother. I remember her telling me about your food magazine years ago and always meant to look it up. I happened across it while looking for a homemade hummus recipe. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you talk through each step. I love everything about this site. I also found your pineapple/cilantro/red onion/avacado/jalapeno salsa and love it too. You two are amazing.
