About Us

Hello! We are so glad you’re here. Inspired Taste is a food blog, created by us, Joanne and Adam Gallagher. Here you’ll find recipes that are easy-to-make, worth your time and that you’ll want to make over and over again.

Adam and Joanne Gallagher of Inspired Taste

Simply put, Inspired Taste is a collection of recipes we’ve created in our own kitchen. Together.

We’re looking for food that we love. After eating it, do we want more? Was it easy and more importantly fun to make? Did it make us smile, reach in for more and were we still talking about it hours after finishing? If it’s a YES, then we’ll share it with you.

We’re on YouTube!

About Us

We’re completely in love with food. Inspired Taste is our creative outlet and we love that it allows us to connect with you. (Your comments make us smile). We’ve always found a connection to each other through food and cooking and some of the best connections (and memories) with others have been through food.

We cook all the time. Together. Our days revolve around food, at home and when we travel.

How Do You Work Together?

We keep things simple. Talk aloud and give feedback. Adam takes most of the photos, Joanne takes lead on recipe creation. We both test, taste, fuss and critique.

There’s a laptop connected to a big monitor in our kitchen and coffee helps. A lot.

We hardly argue, but when we do, we stop everything and work through it. Chocolate helps, too.

Lovey Dovey Stuff

We met in high school. We were engaged in 2008 and were married overlooking the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in front of 50 people.

We danced to What a Wonderful World. Our honeymoon was 10 days in Costa Rica and staying true to our love of cooking, we cooked on our honeymoon. (We rented a house instead of staying in a hotel. It was perfect). During our honeymoon, we went deep-sea fishing. Joanne caught the biggest fish of the day and Adam caught the smallest. Naturally.

Marmalade

We’re a family of two and a half. Marmalade (our cat) is the half. That’s Marmalade. (Just as every pet owner believes, we are sure she’s the cutest, funniest and most adorable cat in.the.world).

We live in Walla Walla, Washington and love the Pacific Northwest!

Hi ! You two are so cute, so much enjoy your recipes – I especially like to bake – and I’m so old I’ve been cooking for 55 years!!! (I’m 76, cooking since age 21,) always loving to cook and bake, and give 95% of it away to friends and neighbors, since I can’t possibly consume it all by myself! But I love to gift to all around me – especially elderly, which I’ve been doing for 20 some years, BEFORE I WAS Elderly!!! My Mom taught me to cook in quantity and quality, so I always have too much food to just keep around for myself – I love to drop a meal or treat on a doorstep for elders, single moms etc. Thanks for your delightful personalities and recipes!!! 🙂 🙂

    Hi guys!
I HATE that I found this site. I’ve not been able to leave it for hours!

I found you via bigoven.com looking for a baba ghanoush recipe, made yours because it was all by hand (including tahini just like I do it) and of course it was DELISH. Can’t wait for the rest of it tomorrow after it develops.

I’ve pinned a half dozen recipes already, subscribed to your pinterest page and can tell you will be a go-to for many, many more recipes to come! Can’t wait to try squash fries, stout burgers, salted caramel squares, cinnamon chocolate cookies, oh gosh will it ever end? I hope not!

Congrats on your site, videos, and social reach, its all so PERFECT, you’re doing great!
    Tammy

Was just playing around searching for different recipes for hummus when I stumbled on your site and video (for Hummus!) and wanted to drop you a note…Great JOB!
As a foodie, from a long line of foodies, and raising my own little foodies and I think your site was really great. Your videos were clear, concise and the information was easy and presented nicely. A real treat to cruise around your site on my break from my work.
    Keep up the good work!!!!!!!

Hi Cathy, We do not currently provide this information. However, you should be able to copy and paste our recipe ingredient list into your app’s recipe calculator. (I’m pretty sure Fitness Pal has this function).

Love, love, love your blueberry muffin recipe. Made it on a cold, rainy afternoon.
They really hit the spot with a cup of hot herbal tea. Hubby said they were delicious, had to have seconds. Am so happy to find your website. Plan on trying more of your recipes.

Just found your site, because of your old post with the table showing how to convert temperatures in Fahrenheit to Celsius and “gas mark.” (I was doing a favor for a person on YouTube who asked about that in a comment on a no-knead bread-making video, 5 days ago, and hadn’t gotten an answer yet.) I’m leaving this comment because I assume if this is your business, you like to know how you were discovered by people who start to follow you.
    Cheers,
    Amy

Hi there! Just found your site while looking for recipe, Chicken Enchiladas Verde – looking forward to trying it very soon – and wish to find the brownie recipe to try, as well! (where is it?) You two are so cute, remind me of my niece and nephew (I’ve been cooking for more than 50 years), but keep learning all the time! Signing up for newsletter – thanks so much!
